PCXmac, I'm no world championship rider but going fast on cold tyres, destorys them. Going balls out for few laps appears to destory Pirelli's, holding back half a second for the entire race conserves Pirelli's.
So a race where you have 5 laps @ 1.29 + 15 laps @ 1.31 = 30.09 minutes. 20 laps @ 1.29.5 = 29.49 minutes.
Ex GP riders seem to handle it like that.

Your correct the Bridgestones are made to push harder, however if you don't push them hard enough they don't work making slower lap times, this is not the case with Pirelli's so for faster times Bridgestones are the weak SOURCE. Look up Guintoli's comments. Pirelli's may be made of sauce I don't know.

So what you are saying and it is believeable the only times Tom won is when Pirelli gave him the special tyre.

"Too many brits voting for their homeboy I'm afraid..... Posted by RG500"
If that was true then the top ten would have all the Brit riders at the top, and all the non-brits behind them.
It seems you are saying that because this is a UK
based site that Brits shouldn't be allowed to vote because of national bias.
As British and International Boxing Champion Henry Cooper used to say ... "In Italy you've got to knock 'em out to get a draw!"
