'One problem after another' for Haslam
Leon Haslam will be ken to make up for lost time during the final World Superbike test at Phillip Island in Australia after a troublesome shakedown in Spain.

Haslam and his Pata Honda teammate, Jonathan Rea, were hindered by issues with their new HRC electronics package, while new signing Haslam also encountered brake problems on his Fireblade.

The British rider said he faced 'one problem after another' during a frustrating two days in Spain.

“It's been a long, tough couple of days and frustrating in a lot of ways,” said Haslam.

“We had some electronics issues and what we thought were engine braking problems. They turned out to be a problem with the brakes themselves.

“In the end, we changed the pads and threw in a random electronics package and I got maybe four or five laps towards the end of the day.

“It's been one problem after another but those last laps showed that the bike is going to be good,” he added.

“It was a much needed test but ended up as a frustrating one, so I can't wait to get back on it in Australia.”

Haslam's best lap at Jerez in 1m 42.411s was 1.6s behind the fastest lap set by Marco Melandri.

I just hope the bike is competitive this year so that jr and lh are not having to over ride the bike as much as has been needed in the last couple of years. Another couple of bikes capable of fighting at the front can only be a good thing !
