PIC: Badovini’s Ducati torched in Phillip Island fall
This is Ayrton Badovini's Alstare Ducati 1199 after the Italian suffered a fiery fall during day two of unofficial testing at Phillip Island in Australia.

Badovini is undergoing checks for possible rib and knee injuries.

Team-mate and former champion Carlos Checa is yet to test due to stomach problems, meaning both Alstare riders spent Friday in hospital.

"Ayrton made a good start. He took things steadily, but used his head and kept improving," said team manager Francis Batta.

"He gave the team a lot of information, so it was a shame that he crashed and couldn't ride for the rest of the day. He has also gone to hospital [a different one to Carlos].

"We don't think there are any problems but await the hospital's confirmation."
