Joan Lascorz joins Xaus in WSBK TV deal
Joan Lascorz, paralysed in a tragic testing accident at Imola last May, is to continue his involvement in WSBK by providing expert commentary for a new Spanish TV deal signed between Dorna and Televisión Española.

The three-year agreement will see WSBK broadcast on the Teledeporte, TVE HP and RTVE.es channels, where Lascorz and fellow former racer Ruben Xaus will work alongside main commentator Marc Martín.

"I'm really happy for joining this TV project," said 27-year-old Lascorz, a multiple WSS race winner and Factory Kawasaki WSBK rider at the time of his accident.

"I'm sure I will be able to keep enjoying road racing from this new point of view. Sometimes you can feel even more emotion for racing through the TV because you can leave apart the high pressure of being a racer yourself."

Xaus, a former WSBK title runner-up and MotoGP podium finisher, added: "World Superbike meant my whole life for many years and now I want to do my best as TV commentator in a world for which I feel a strong passion."

The TV broadcast will be produced at TVE's set in Sant Cugat (Barcelona).
