Supersonic boss joins Red Devils Roma
Danilo Soncini has been named as Red Devils Roma's new sports director, in a role intended to make the team a breeding ground for young motorcycling talent.

The Italian is best known for his team principal role at Supersonic Racing, which competed in World Superbikes in 2010 and 2011, as well as the British Superbike Championship in 2012.

Soncini comes on board to source new partners, oversee Red Devils Roma's Superstock 1000 project and, more specifically, to nurture new talent coming through the ranks.

"Danilo will be responsible not only to follow and report young talent but also to locate new partners that will help us to make our team more competitive,” said team principal Andrea Petricca. “Red Devils Roma emerged precisely in Stock 1000, before moving to Superbikes and we are still linked to this category in which we would like to race some emerging young riders.”

Red Devils Roma competed at Superstock 1000 level under the SS Lazio banner before stepping up to Superbikes in its new guise in 2012. Following the first round of the 2013 season, new signing Michel Fabrizio has already notched up the team's maiden podium.
