Home star Sylvain Guintoli (Pata Ducati) and Englishman Tom Sykes (Factory Kawasaki) claimed a victory apiece in a dramatic closing round, which saw Max Biaggi claim the title by just half a point from Sykes.

While Guintoli and Sykes sprayed podium champagne in both races, Marco Melandri (BMW) and Jonathan Rea (Honda) finished runner-up in race one and two respectively.
