Jules Cluzel has put himself forward as a contender for World Supersport pole position at the Moscow Raceway after setting the fastest lap of the weekend during second free practice.

The Frenchman sits on the outside of the provisional front row after Q1, but is well placed to progress in Q2 later today if he can replicate his 1min 37.796secs lap, which was one tenth faster than Kenan Sofuoglu's current pole time.

PTR counterpart Sam Lowes bounced back from his Q1 crash to set the second best time, while Broc Parkes squeezed ahead of Sofuoglu to make it a Honda 1-2-3.

Sheridan Morais followed up his Lorenzini Kawasaki team-mate in fifth, while local favourite Vladimir Leonov maintained a competitive pace around his home circuit with the sixth fastest lap on the Yakhnich Yamaha.

Behind him, Mathew Scholtz and Gabor Talmacsi ended the session seventh and eighth, while Alex Baldolini and Ronan Quarmby rounded out the top ten.
