Lowes: Victory all that matters in France
PTR Honda's Sam Lowes is primarily focused on ending the 2012 World Supersport Championship on a winning note at Magny-Cours in France this weekend.

The British rider is currently fourth overall in the points standings with a chance of securing third, but Lowes' only concern is to sign off with a victory on Sunday.

“For me the aim is always to be a champion so I'm not thinking at all about if I finish third or fourth overall and all I want is to win the last race of the season,” he said.

“Magny-Cours is a circuit that I like and it suits my style so I'm looking forward to going there and doing a good race, the last race of the season.

“This season was very good at some points and not so good in others, so I'm looking forward to a big finish and want to win the last race,” he added.

“I've been training hard and can't wait to get there really.”

Kawasaki's Kenan Sofuoglu has already secured the title, while Jules Cluzel looks relatively safe in second place, 25 points ahead of Fabien Foret.

Lowes is next, just eight points behind Foret and 17 ahead of Broc Parkes.
