Cluzel concludes rookie season in style
Jules Cluzel heads into the off-season as a rider in demand after completing the fourth World Supersport Championship win of his rookie campaign at Magny-Cours.

Having plied his trade in the grand prix ranks, Cluzel was originally supposed to make his series debut with the WTR 10Ten Racing team aboard a Kawasaki in 2012, only to part ways before the season had even started.

Handed a last minute deal to join PTR Honda, it would prove a shrewd move on Simon Buckmaster's part as Cluzel flourished into a consistent front runner. Despite riding on unfamiliar circuits, Cluzel claimed four wins on the way to second in the overall standings, including a dominant triumph in front of his home fans at the season-ending Magny-Cours event.

With PTR Honda and Kawasaki both fighting over his signature for 2013, Cluzel was delighted to have signed off a hugely successful year in style

"I am really happy. I have won at home. I had nothing to prove as the Championship was already finished so I just tried to enjoy myself. My feeling with the bike was bad in warm-up but my PTR team did a great job with my bike so I was able to lead and control the race.

“It was great with my family and friends here. Thanks to my PTR team, it has been a great year for me. I finished the season strong. I need to learn more about the first five races for next year."
