Andrea Antonelli will switch to Kawasaki machinery in the 2013 World Supersport Championship after agreeing terms with Go Eleven.

The Italian made his WSS debut in 2011 after finishing third in the 2010 FIM Superstock Cup, beginning the year with Lorini Honda before making a mid-season switch to Bike Service Yamaha.

Scoring several top ten finishes with both teams, Antonelli secured a best result of seventh at Assen and the Moscow Raceway on the way to tenth in the overall standings.

The move to Go Eleven, who were also embarking on their maiden WSS season in 2011 with young American rider Josh Day, will see Antonelli reunited with Kawasaki machinery for the first time since his European debut in 2007.

"I am pleased to have reached an agreement with Team Go Eleven, especially because I'll be followed by an ex-rider, Denis Sacchetti, whose experience will help me improve for sure", he said.

"I'll be back on a Kawasaki, the bike I made my debut on in 2007 in Superstock 600, taking my first podiums. It's a bike you never forget and I hope to do well next year, especially because of the competitiveness the Kawasaki has shown by winning the last World Supersport title.

“After racing a Honda and a Yamaha in 2012 I hope that by returning to my first 'love' the results will be on my side. I can't wait to begin the new season with Team Go Eleven and hope to be able to work again with the people I worked well with in 2012.”
