Easykart Junior drivers will be selected to have a three day test to win a drive in Ginetta Junior during this season.

Four drivers will be chosen on the basis of results, speed and presentation.

The selected driver would have the option of moving up into the Ginetta Junior championship or could choose to stay in karts and drive in the Super 1 series' Formula KGP class.

Ginetta is interested in Easykart because the objective is that a driver could join the Cadet class and progress to cars six/seven years later having spent ?140,000. One season in a single seater could cost the same amount of money.

The spotters who will visit Easykart rounds to assess potential candidates will include Andy Cox of Acer/BM; Michael Simpson, head of sales for Ginetta; Lawrence Tomlinson its chairman and John Vigor of Easykart UK.

Cox explained to crash.net: "I've been doing this now for nearly 25 years. I've looked after a lot of drivers like Mike Conway, Tom Sisley and Alex Lynn. We've got a lot of experience so when I see someone who obviously is talented, it's very plain to see.
