The British Historic Kart Club has been invited to several international karting events after having a successful season in 2012.

Member Ed McDonough was awarded the Peugeot Motorspot Award by the Guild of Motoring Writers and the karts were showcased at events like the Autosport International Show, Race Retro, Donington Park, Shenington and at the Silverstone Classic.

As well as creating a new website, the Club has been invited to two prestigious international events. One of them will be hosted by Angelo Parilla of DAP repute. It will be at the Jesolo circuit near Venice between 24-26 May.

The other is at the Bahamas Speed Week Revival which is scheduled for 1-8 December. Drivers from the Formula Kart Stars championships were invited last year. For 2013, historic karters have been invited.

As is the case with other venues, there is a karting link to the past. Stirling Moss was a member of the Three Kounties Karting Klub and he entered the World Karting Championships held at Nassau in 1960.
