i think petter has made a mistake going for the C4. The focus seems to have the edge lately after their upgrades during the summer. i doubt if citroen are goin to pump much more money into any upgrades for the C4.
I persume petters decision was purley a financial one tho. M sport were without doubt offering the best package (a full spec car)but the C4 deal must have been cheaper. To be honest i dont really rate petter anyway. Atko was better last year and this year marcus was competitive in the S14 after only a couple of stages. that was something petter couldnt do for half the season

Hmmm, I think it is mostly to do with £££, a lower spec C4 is gonna be cheaper than a top spec Focus. BE interested to see what he drives next year though. I read in Autosport (I think) that the top bods at Citroen seem confident he will carry on with them next year.

I cant see him setting the world alight in spain, but Rally GB? Maybe, just maybe. He may be needed by Citroen to get ahead of Mikko to help Loebs championship. Most interesting.

Why are Citroen and Ford both offering deals to Petter at this point in the season? Because he can be the decisive factor in who wins the driver championship. Loeb needs to win and to have other drivers finish between him and Hirvonen to make up points. Imagine in Spain, where Loeb and Sordo have finished 1-2 in the past. If Petter can get 3rd or better, Hirvonen loses more driver points. The C4 is better than the Focus, but Hirvonen has become a really great driver.

A preview of 2010. Loeb is disgusted by the upcoming S2000 rules, leaves WRC for F1. Petter and Sordo become Citroen's top 2 drivers while mentoring Ogier for the future.

Looks like we have 2 guaranteed podiums for Solberg. It might not be as good as the focus as some here might suggest, but solberg aint exactly a rookie either. At best he'll be on the same pace as the ford boys. Hopefully he'll drive the bat**** out of that car seeing it's not his and most likely not footing the repair bill as well.
