Bad form from Peugeot, OK so it wasn't intentional but surely there is no place or excuse for carelessness at this level and when the penalty is so harsh.

Kris drove an epic event but the record books will simply show a disqualification for cheating essentially. You can't argue with the stewards, if they weren't tight on this sort of thing some teams would just take the p1ss out of the rules, so they were only doing there job. But Kris didn't deserve this outcome and the blame lies with his team.

@Matt

Cheers for that, autosport have updated their website now although it still stays they intended to appeal, maybe they've decided not to bother.

Still, doesn't take away from what Kris has achieved this year.

Nothing fair about driving a car that does not comply to the rules, thats cheating. Its a shame for Kris tho, I'm sure he would have been able to win with a car that was on weight as well

stupid decision...!!!!!

why didn't Loeb and Citroen get the same exclusion in Australia this year if it's a rule breach???? they got only 1min penalty.

Spot on, jeff.

But I'd say, rally Australia stewards made a stupid decision. Loeb should've had a much more severe penalty, at least 5min or even DSQ.
But that's now history ad, of course, Seb is a worthy champ, not like Buttocks
