Nicky Grist to take his place ? probably not due to his busines interests. He's been in some pretty major prangs with Solberg, wonder why he's leaving ? they made a good team.

Nicky will more than Likely be the replacement for sure, of course there is also Cato Mekarud who sat next to Henning for a long time but I think Nikki has certainly got the pedegree

Nicky also has the personality too, I think Phil is a top co driver but he is not exactly Mr social, maybe that is why they are going their seperate ways, maybe they dont get on anymore.

Nicky has a Great sense of Humour and is a down to earth guy who likes a laugh and a joke but is also one of the most thorough guys in the sport, he leaves no stone unturned in his quest for preparation, he is arguably the best co driver out there.

I also think that Petter needs someone like Nicky to compliment him

Major blow for Petter!

I will miss him badly, such a great character, nice to hear him calling the notes on on-board videos.

Petter & Phil partnership will go down in the history books!

Great shame. They were a fantastic partnership.

Seems a strange time to part ways, half way through a season. Wonder what's really behind the decision and the timing ?

Nicky Grist would be an ideal replacement. Would be great to see him back in the WRC. He is an absolute professional and has the ideal personality to gel with Petter. However, will he really want to be back in the championship at this stage of his life ?
