Shame the Citroen drivers ( Ogier and Loeb of course) did not win but well done to JML. A wonderful victory and truly well deserved.

I am happy with the podium result. :)

Kankkunen has to be the driver of the rally for me. A brilliant 8th after nearly a decade away from the WRC. :)

Matthew Wilson was just plain sh!t as usual.

Agreed. Rally stages nowadays are ridiculously short. In 2000 competitive stages distance in Rally kenya was 1000km, in 1991 when juha kankkunen won it, it was a staggering 4500km!! Those days a WRC round rarely last less than 600km EXCLUDING road stages. I starting to see why some people in WRC circles didnt give Loeb the same amount of respect they give to Makinnen, Kankkunen, or even Sainz.

"I'd like to see a Safari style round come back..."

I agree, the same way I like to see very different tracks in F1, I'd like to see different rallies in WRC as well with a proper safari Rally and a proper Monte Carlo one as well.

I'd also like to bring back the Safari and night stages and vastly increase the competetive miles, sorry broke an EU rule there, of course I mean "kilomtres." :D
