WRC » IRC: McRae eyes top-five on home event

Alister McRae: It's always nice to compete at home, particularly coming back to Perth after such a strong result last season. The car has definitely improved through the year, with the work on the engine and dampers paying dividends with the Satria.

Haven't decided about going yet, but I do agree, you do have to feel for the organisers. Second year in a row they've got a small entry, and it's no longer the final round. With Live TV, is there anything more they could have done? I think it was originally a 3 year deal, I wonder if it will continue beyond that? Personally, I do think they should have used an exisiting SRC round.
It doesn't reflect that well on British rallying, compare to other rounds, 15-20 S2000s.

Yep I feel sorry for the organisers. Lot of work gone into it, and poor numbers. Much as I had high hopes for the event, I can see next year being the third and final Rally Scotland. Just hope that the weather holds up to being half decent for them.

(P.s. I think Hanninen will walk it)
