Gronholm for me he beat the best to win world titles in 2000 & 2002 but was highly competitive until he retired in 07 unlike makinen who struggled a bit towards the end, but he was also a very entertaining character unlike loeb who statistically is the best of them all!!

for excitement and just standing there in the coldness has to be Colin but for the dominance of the wrc my driver of the decade has to be Loeb

I can't believe this is even up for discussion, it's Loeb by a mile!! Seven successive WRC Titles - such dominance.
Saying that, it doesn't say much for the state of the WRC for the majority of the decade.

Unlike formula one in the last years, WRC was a poor category since five tears : only two manufacturers, the best drivers gone (gronholm, sainz, mac rae, burns, ...). The new generation has not enough talent to compete against Seb Loeb. It was exactly the same for Schumacher at the beggining of the decade in F1 (when Hakkinen retired), in these conditions, records are less impressive, and show is boring ! And i was too easy for Seb Loeb. In the 90s, there were more good drivers with better cars and more chances to win.
Obviously, what happened when Marcus has gone was predictible. It would have been more interesting if Petter had a really good car before because he was (and he is) the only one to be able to beat Seb Loeb, except on tarmac.
Let's hope the next decade will propose a better show, with more manufacturers.

Bit of a pointless survey this one but You gotta give Loeb his due. You can't argue with the results he's had. But as the following competed in the last decade all be it not at their best they deserve a mention. McRae for the recognition he brought to the sport,Makkinen for winning 4 in a row when there was actually some decent competition out there, and some 50 year old bloke that showed up at rally Finland and showed that once you have it you never really lose it.
Sad Decade for the sport RIP McRae, Burns & Park. Lets hope if the same survey is done 2020 we may have a championship worth commenting on
Oh yeah and i've avoided it for years now but feel it's time to pass comment
Waste of a good car award goes to young Matty.
