Mikko Hirvonen will lead going into the second day of Rally Australia - 7 seconds up on his Ford Abu Dhabi team-mate, Jari-Matti Latvala; Petter Solberg is best of the rest in third, 37.3 seconds further back.

Wow, when was the last time Loeb AND Ogier didnt finish a rally?

What a stroke of luck for Ford ...or is it? Will this be the rally Solberg finally win since his subaru days? I really hope so.

I dont think ford were lucky. In life u create ur own luck. Also it takes more concentration, perseverance, etc. to finish under such difficult circumstances. So kudos to those guys.
We as armchair pundits can criticize them but really we dont have the funding or even the skill to do this. Some are more skillful than others it has to be said like all things in life.
Personally i hope for hollywood but he seems too far back.
