Jari-Matti thoroughly deserves that victory. It's good to see him get it after all the times he had to give up positions to help Ford's so-called team leader. Hope he wins a lot more in 2012.

For the Citroen fans dont think Citroen have a faster car than Ford , if you look at the times sheet during this year championship you will discover that Ford were always at Citroen pace BUT some mechanical gliches / bad luck or .. i dont know .. nearly every race Citroen got evrey thing beter sorted togethor and that was Citroen wepon ... even Loeb himself was amaized by Latvala pace both on tarmac (France & Spain) and gravel (GB) , if Ford combine Latvala and Ogier for 2012 at the team it will be interisteng !

Agreed Latvala deserves the win, he might well have beaten Loeb fair and square on this occasion if Loeb had finished. But to all those saying Jari-Matti should have been Ford's number one, the fact is that by that stage of the season when team tactics came into play, Hirvonen had more points and therefore the better chance of stealing the title.

Anyway, let's see what happens in 2012, though with Loeb no longer having to sweep the road on the first day who would bet against a ninth title?

This, makes sense!
....

Ford team boss Malcolm Wilson says his team to have everything to keep Mikko Hirvonen's championship opportunities to survive.

Sebastien Loeb on Sunday after the suspension is easy to speculate on what would be obtained if the Solberg to continue the rally. Ford might have been able to tactically drop their cars down the result list.

- We have examined all the possibilities, if the situation would have been like that. It would have been a difficult situation, because asiakasautojamme are driving the cost of this course and want to achieve as good results as possible.

Hirvonen, driving off the road after the damage would not have been correct. The engine was destroyed almost immediately.

- Destruction had already occurred in two kilometers from the damage to the birth. It broke down on the cylinder head gasket, and oil pressure was lost when the water did not have the cooling system. Then Mikael announced on the radio while driving seven miles after the

warning lights are flashing. At that point, the engine was already in the former.

Long negotiations with the financial organization of the juices are absorbed Wilson, but the British did not intend to give up. Ford wants to see the championship in the coming years.

- After all, this is not a perfect situation, but we've been in this situation before. Does this differ from the negotiations in any way. We always come to the right decision, so let's hope that it happens now.

- In this economic climate, we must be realists. Registration for the Championship will expire on 12 December, it will be before the situation must be known

By the way: According to new Finnish TV show "Motorsport", Abu Dhabi has left Ford/M-Sport. Therefore they are eight million dollars short on 2012 budget...
