Yes indeed, Mini will be doing the full 13 events next season. I have no doubts Dani will be a title contender and should get his wins at last. Have to admit WRC seems to be getting more exciting with Mini comeback and now we have VW arrival in 2013.

Fully agree Rob hope it does get better with VW, Mini & hopefully a few more coming on board in years to come, just need to sort out a few more decent drivers rather than those who fill the seats due to large amouts of cash or connections within teams.
The situation at Stobart is f**king disgraceful. Wouldn't blame them if they pulled out at any time because the haven't had good value for the cash they've put over the years.

David Richards hasn't confirmed that MINI will be doing the full season next year. But I've heard that they're going to be announcing a major new sponsor within the next week or so which will enable them to do so. I hope they do compete in the full season. It'd be epic to see the MINI on the roads of New Zealand!

i just hope with Subaru currently in R&D with the 1.6 that hey come back to WRC as well. As I cant figure out any other reason why they would go down from 2.0 to 1.6

I knew the closing date for Manufacturer entries would be pushed back!

FIA World Motorsport Council

'...As a consequence, it was also agreed that the registration date for the 2012 FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers be put back to 19 December.'

Its not a Good time for the WRC right now, Mini are finally ready for their 1st season back in the Sport, VW are gearing up for 2013 and CSi (who own North One Sport) just went into Adminstration and at the moment there is no TV for the WRC next year and teams get ready to go to Monte knowing there might be no coverage for the 1st time in decades

Jean Todt was due to be handed the file yesterday and will possibly have to personally do some kind of tv deal for 2012 himself, what a nightmare !

Also Ford are deciding what to do and this could tip their decision as its all about marketing and as of right now there is NONE ! but yeh Mini could fight for wins next season
