Proton confirms plans to run in the SWRC in 2012

ANOTHER blow for the IRC. Peugot UK, Belgium-Luxembourg, France and now PROTON confirming that they are leaving the series isn't a good thing for the future. The only decent drivers confired for next year are Hanninen, Kopecky and Mikkelsen. And they're all in SKODA's. Michal Hrabanek will get his wish of a third-straight manufacturer's crown by the looks of things.

I just wonder how many electrical faults the Satria will have next year?

The Satrias have done very well in the Asia Pacific series but terrible in Europe.I would to see a good run but feel the Skodas will take them to the cleaners.

I've a feeling that they are building upto a WRC campaign when the engine will naturally be changed....
Hopefully by then 2013? they will have the reliability sorted.i.e electrics and all the other daft stuff they fail on.
