Can understand the decision. But still, it does rather kill off the interest now. Shame, would have been good to see Loeb and Hirvonen battle it out a bit longer...

SS10 win for Solberg. Everybody are saying look Solberg and Latvala set the fastest times, but they set those times when CITROENS ARE IN FRONT AND HAVE NO NEED TO PUSH TO PROVE SOMETHING. When the real battle is raging Loeb sets the pace and Fords are usually in the scenery. After that they return under Rally 2 rules and win the rest of the stages but can't win when it's most needed. It isn't matter to win the stages when someone(Loeb) is 20 min infront, the ability is to win when everybody are flat out.
The real battle between Loeb and Solberg in Argentina was in SS2 to SS4 and the result Loeb:Solberg 2:1, end of story.

A Rally is not 3 stages, It is 3 days. Some stages are more likebale for ones and not that much for others. There is also some gambling with tyre choices, especially when teams are little short with them. But the true is that Ford has won more stages this year than Cintroen, it is the faster car, but the more reliable.

I'm not surprised though with the team orders, in fact I expect this to happen on every Rally where Hirvonen poses some threat to Loeb.

I don't know why Loeb needs this, he almost crashed before Citrone team took this in their hands. Is his time over? I believe so and its time to retire probably, but not before he makes them 9.

stefan. it is a reasonably sensible decision, even though i hate team orders. there is a serious shortage of tyres and the tryes in use are unsuitable for an out and out battle. loeb doesnt need team orders and has never asked for these. and to say his time might be over? why? rally drivers can go on successfully for years and years. but the time will come when he wants to try something else. he has driven le mans and runs his own team.

surprise. please list the "many" times that loeb has asked for team orders. then list the number of times that ford has used them .

I know it is:) If you manage a team you have to ensure the best score the team will achieve, no matter drivers. Well as French team I guess Loeb will have some preference non the less being 8 times world champion. I admire this, he is the best ever. I know also he don't like team orders, but I remember one Rally last year when he was not happy at all when Citroen decided something in preference in Ogier, I think it was staring order on second day on some early Rally in the championship.

I think nobody likes team orders, this just kills the thrill. Being Schumacher fan past years I also didn't like Ferrari's team orders, but he is Schumacher after all.

Yes rally is 3 days and yes Ford won more stages than Citroen this year, but they are winning when Citroen has healthy advantage and HAS NO REASON AT ALL TO PUSH. As for team orders, Ford used team orders right after the qualifying stage, Sordo let Solberg to start third.

And it would be nice for Loeb to retire after he makes 10 titles, but next year is going to be much harder for him with Ogier than Latvala.

Sordo is one time player, his role is solely to support the team. As for stage winners, every time Latvalla has some problem early is while he was LEADING.

Loeb will make his 9th, I believe so. But 10th will be impossible, not because of Ogier, but VW will make this hard.

Yes Latvala is crashing when leading but you can't call a 10-20 seconds lead a comfortable lead. He isn't able to maintain and increase that lead till the end. He can't drive under pressure for more than 3 or 4 stages and that is needed, to drive 3 days under constant pressure and when everybody are flat out.

Ogier will be his biggest threat from VW.

I haven't said that Ford support Latvala but there is no big difference are you running 10th, 11th or 12th.
