We will see how he fares, Finland is a Tough place to go and push yourself to and even beyond your limits in order to make an impression

I think he should shoot for a Top 6 position, I would imagine Ostberg Novikov and Tanak will be a shade to quick for him having been away from the WRC for so long

He needs to drive at 98% and slot in behind them all and wait for a couple to drop out, there may be a big fight up front so there could be a few big names from the Top 4 going out yet let alone the Privateers

Personally i like the bloke, nice to see him back again.
If he's aiming to put himself back in frame for a top drive not sure Finland is probably the best place to attempt it but i suppose you take what top flight drives are on offer regardless of the rally
As he's not fully match fit beating any of the top 6 would be good maybe higher if the usual suspects run out of talent again.

He's not so bad driver, showed descent pace in Mexico, last WRC entry with Citroen was probably disaster for him (I think it was Ireland 2009), but may be he can find his pace again as with Subaru in the past. Seems he is willing to drive in WRC, but probably didn't have his chances last years.

I don't know how Finland will match his style, but wish him success, may be we can see some fight there with the young drivers in M-Sport.

I would have selected one of following drivers instead of him.

1 Marcus Gronholm (he can win Finish rally on a cycle also)
2 P G Anderson (has raw speed and telent)
3 Gigi Galli (at least he would have recorded new jump distance record there)

Maybe Marcus was actually talking to them, but there is one small issue of Marcus being in Laid up in Hospital right now with Bone compression, something you get in Finland without smashing into a Concrete Pillers at the X-Games

Obviously with Atkinson being an Ex Factory driver of 4 years and having been 3rd in Finland in 2008 he is probably the best of the Drivers who wasnt due to compete there, and lets face it, Qatar was probably hoping for a top 10 with Nassar so a Top 6 wont be a bad result for them

It does beg the question though, where would Marcus of been if he had taken the seat ?? I think maybe 4th or 5th, Latvala Hirvonnen and Loeb are all equally Capable of winning over there, possibly Petter too so it will be a very Exciting weekend for sure
