Obviously those who don't want to further their rallying career want a RHD car.

Hayden Paddon drove a LHD Evo in the NZ Rally Championship the year before he joined the PWRC as he saw it being beneficial to his career as all PWRC/SWRC/WRC cars are LHD.

Its not really that clear cut, Most of my Rally cars were infact LHD as I aspired to a bright future as a driver. You have to get used to LHD as early as possible. When you get to the Top of the sport you have to drive and be used to LHD as it is the only choice

However, if you are like a lot of the Senior Irish drivers you would naturally prefer RHD as you dont have those aspirations of reaching the WRC as a Career when you are over 40 years old (no offence to Irish drivers)

The Irish love their Rallying and there is a Huge Market in Ireland for WRC Cars so Mini are just making sure they Tap into this Huge market by Building what the Market wants. RHD WRC Cars. Simples
