Yves Matton: It's not only 2013 but also what he [Loeb] will do with Citroen in the future

Some say Loeb has nothing to prove but I think he should try a different team before his retirement. If he's the best ever, he should be able to win the title with Ford too. That would be a seal of his abilities.

Just because he is staying with Citoren doesn't mean he is staying in the WRC. It has been known that Loeb want to race in a different series beit it Le Mans or some other circuit series.

I see him as a part time test/development driver when he isn't racing in another series.

Loeb can't switch to another team because he is 'born and grown' in Citroen. He also has commercial value for them and he simply wouldn't want to ruin that long relationship just because someone think he should prove something, like those almost 9 titles are worthless.

It wouldn't surprise me if Seb stayed with Citroen group but moved to a different discipline, after all he has proved himself adept on the track.
He has nothing more to prove in the modern era of rallying.

Its been reported VW are entering WRC next year so to prove he (Loeb) is the greatest rally driver of all time, he should go there (to VW) and see if he can win for them next year.

Loeb leaving Citroen? Are you joking me he would never do that as he has always had things his way ie best car teammate not allowed to challenge him and so on. When Ogier came in he made sure he was rid of as he could have beaten him, shame for the sport it wasnt let play out. Ford is poor, Mikko not allowed pressure him how boring is the wrc gone now? Yes he is an amazing talent but it is such a pity that theres no team he is up against good enough to even come close to challenging him.

Not onluy he was born and grown at Citroen like MKD said but he also helped the marque to grow in WRC.

What many seem to forget is that Citroen wasn't an all conquering force in the early 00's, they were debutantes with obviously some of the knowledge of their PSA group cousins. So they made that journey to success together.

As for proving something, Seb had Sainz and Mc Rae as team mates and his success in Finland and Sweden, let alone Germany shows his greatness.

Saying that he needs to go somewhere else to prove his worth has no serious ground except to try and belittle one of the most impressive achievements not only in motorsports but in sports in general.

Now I don't say it wouldn't be interesting but it didn't turn that way, I guess it would have taken the withdrawal of Citroen at some point to winess that. Having said that, he still managed to win with the Kronos team, didn't he ?
