Maybe they have and maybe they haven't. It doesn't matter now. Citroen will wrap up the Manufacturers Title on Sunday and Loeb will claim his ninth title in France.

Ford need a better car and better drivers. And a better car. There are far too many stories about the Fiesta losing gears or having technical glitches.

Yes it does matter. The series need more interest and that comes with more challenges. Citroen/Loeb might be virtual champions already, but who besides true fans would want to watch a season where 1 guy is smashing the competition all the way in the future.

As for Ford, they might need lot of things, but I don't think the drivers let them down this year, especially Solberg.

Not quite
Citroen will not wrap up the championship if the score stays as it is today.
They need to score 6 points more than Ford to be champion.
and for the time being they are 18 points behind.
So this evening they are short by 24 points

I think the Fords are genuinely faster there in these conditions. Loeb will be happy to take a good result home and not throw everything away if he can't improve.
