WRC » Latvala: This victory is for the team

Jari-Matti Latvala: It's a fantastic feeling. It's one of my favourite rallies and it's the first time I have won the same rally in consecutive years.

Congrats to JM, well deserved win! And shame Petter couldn't hold the Frenchman out of second, would have been nice to see a Ford one-two after so many Citroen one-two's!

BUT, what's with Chris Atkinson? Tenth, behind a returning Matt Wilson?? Something isn't quite right there...

@John

I got a bit of stick when I thought it was a bit odd he was happy to finish 9 minutes behind the leader, reckon Meeke would have had that car far higher up.

Great drive by JML, the guy has the speed, he just needs the consistancy.

About Chris Atkinson ... guys, I think that Coopers of this italian team are just not there. Dani Sordo had better prepared car from Prodrive and he could fight a little bit higher, don't you think?

Too little too late.
He can win as many rallies as he likes until the end of the year he is not going to win the championship and that is what it is about. He has crashed far too often during the year.
IMHO he only won because Loeb has the title wrapped up and is content to finish on the podium javascript:insertTextCursor('comment',%20':blush:')

@Markko

That did cross my mind and it's a fair comment but not that much of a gap, maybe I'm been a bit harsh. The Mini program is screwed anyway which is a great shame for everyone.

But, seriously, does anyone still hope for a good result
from MSI's Mini? Really? Araujo is a consistent driver and they treated him like dirt. The car is a dud, the team is a disaster, Chris Atkinson doesn't know what he got himself into. Kudos to JML, who cares if the victory came too late, it was imperious. As if Loeb was going to soften up just because he's thinking of the championship.
He's got 8 of those, already. Great run from the eternally overlooked Ostberg.

Back to Jari Matti for a sec :

He did amazingly well to beat Loeb and everyone else, he Blew them all away on day 1, and to take 1.9 seconds out of Loeb on the short Celtic Manor stage was nothing short of Incredible, A big Well done to Jari Matti for a Massive Performance and no mistakes

Back to Atko, I dont understand how can he say he was pleased with his performance, This coming from a previous A Team Works Driver. It just confirms how Talented Kris Meeke is to come 3rd on Rally GB last year in the Older version car like Nobre still uses, Atko has the latest version, I though he was trying to Impress his way back into the WRC, hmmm ???
