A small but interesting anecdote about friday morning tyre choice.
As you know teams are spying on each other in order to know what choice is made by the other team.
On Friday morning, Citroen went with 4 hard tyres and 2 soft spares.
Ford went with 5 hard (4 mounted and only one spare to save the dreaded 22kgs)
The proper choice was Citroen as they mounted the soft tyres only when it was needed) and it was needed only on one SS really.
But the reason Ford mounted soft tyres, is that just one minute before leaving the parc , Loeb in a loud voice said to Hirvo and the engineers , Ok CHANGE of MIND .LET'S MOUNT THE SOFT.
The spies ran to their team and mounted the soft, and Citroen mechanics mounted the HARD with some coloured adhesive onto the barcode tag.
Clever acting I would say :-))

.........nearly there now. WRC No9 in the bag........

Very smart man, backed off in Rally GB so as that he could win (WRC) in France. Everyone knows this.

Urban legend and rumours die hard :-))
There is no way he could have beaten JML in GB.
He already had a very hard time to beat Solberg... and if there is something he really hates, it is being behind Petter.
You guys believe too much in fantasy
this is rallying, with oil, brake smell, mud, noise, pain and sweat.
