Whilst I know it isn't the final bow, I would like to take the opportunity to say thanks to Sebastien Loeb for the sheer pleasure it has brought me to watch an absolute artist at work. So much skill, balance and intelligence behind the wheel
- which no doubt why he can move effortlessly into a Le Mans prototype or an F1 car and even win the RoC. Arguably he is, pound for pound, the most talented racer on the planet. Despite all the moaners (who I suspect have raced anything) who just don't get it, the WRC was lucky to have him and for most of us it was a privilege just to watch the show. Bonne chance Sebastien!

The best rally driver ever has landed his 76th victory. Absolutely perfect job by Loeb even though he made some wrong tyre choices today. Congratulations to Ostberg who managed to beat Fords factory driver Solberg in the championship.

Maybe like Carlos Sainz, he'll do Dakar Rally some year and win, to show he really is the 'Greatest'. Without a Dakar win under his (Loeb) belt he wont be that.

perfect departure with a last win and a championship
but now, any victory and even the championship next year will be devaluated
now, they will win just because Loeb doesn't race anymore, except for fun
