Finally Ostberg will get proper testing and the latest car parts available compared when he was in his own team. Maybe things are looking brighter for Ford next season in terms of some titles.

So the question is how many drivers won't have a seat when the music stops?

Citroen - Mikko, Dani and part-time Seb
Ford - Mads, part-time Nasser, and one other?
VW - Seb2, JML and part-time Andreas
Mini - ?

So what about Solberg, Neuville, Atkinson, Novikov and the rest?

And what about Hyundai? Does anyone realistically think they'll make it back into the WRC?

I don't think Novikov and Tanak's seats were ever at risk as they were paying customers. So they'll likely still be with Ford. On the other hand, Solberg, even though he crashes a lot, would still be a decent enough option for ford. He could certainly bring a lot more to the team in terms of development than the youngsters. He could however be attractive to MINI and prodrive will likely try and get him.

I couldn't really care if Atkinson isn't back next year. His drive this year wasn't anything to talk about. I would imagine Craig Breen will get a limited package in the WRC this year too and I hope it's not with MINI. At this point in his career he could without them pulling another Meeke stunt on him.

I think Hyundai will be back but unless they get in with some big names then it'll never be effective, as was the case in the past. It'd be good if they got a deal drawn up with prodrive.

Im still leaning towards this just being a publicity stunt for Hyundai.
Theyve done this before, I remember back in 2005ish there was a Rally NZ official programme and on the back page was a advert from Hyundai promising to be back the next year.
