Yup, that's what he said in interview. He considers he has 10 WRC titles already.

That said, I would indeed not be too much surprised if he extends his program in case things go in the right direction.

Well he already said Monte Carlo Sweden Argentina and France. that's 4 !
And I would be very surprised if he changed his decision.
Traveling for 15 years around the world is something that takes its toll.
Been there, done that, not in rallying though :-))

Why would travel have anything to do with it? He is going to be traveling all over the world and despite anything anyone here says he will not do many extra rounds. He has committed to the gt sprint championship in his own team next year. Pity the wrc has lost a great driver but it will probably prove good for the sport

because rallying is flying on sunday coming back on monday week later
Waking up at 4 or 5 in the morning because of the recce schedule.
( not counting the bad joke of the ceremonial start in Rally GB :-)) )
That means 14 or 15 weeks in hotel, before testing or PR duties
Then testing is in Portugal, in Spain, in GB
in Germany, in Sardegna and France ... 42 days testing per year
The PR in China or else ( but this will not change much)
The guy is stopping for exactly this reason.
And as I said before try it and you'll be convinced :-))
