The reason loeb enter the swedish rally is to win it. He is 110% committed as it's the only rally he won once (the others he won at least twice).

Ogier just gain too much time on day 1 while running at the bottom as you can see from day 2 times that the gap are pretty much the same. Loeb is just as quick as ogier, but not quick enough to gain time on him.

I have a sneaky feeling he's regretting doing only 4 races in 2013. I bet if he quits cold turkey in 2014 after beating the VWs instead of a half ass effort in 2013 (getting beat by VWs) there wont be any question if he is indeed the fastest ever because of the car.

Yup, it'll be a shame if Loeb doesn't change his mind and compete the full season. The championship would feel kinda dull if Ogier goes on to dominate and win the title without much of a challenge.

Many people and myself included would tend to feel the same yet we have to accept, understand and respect Loeb's decision if he sticks. He's done enough, he's his own man after all...
