Terrible conduct by Solberg. All I can say is that I am disappointed. At 37, he really should be old enough to know how dangerous this is. A lot of people could have been killed. The way he drives at full speed through the vineyard and hits the post is absolutely reckless.

Perhaps you could say that spectators should not have been there. That may be true. In rallying, spectators should always be on higher ground than drivers. But they were there. And even if that was not the safest place for them to be, it wouldn't make it any easier for Solberg if he had run someone over or if the post had landed on someone.

I hope he learns from this. What a bizarre and sad incident.
