I would not have an issue with stages being done 2 or 3 times a day, it saves on recce time for competitors and it is also handy for spectators. Personally I find it handy to go to a stage, find a few spots for the various runs, have the food between runs. I also feel that having stages all over the place can lead to traffic congestion etc, things which could give rallying bad press. But one thing should be considered when picking stages for events is to make sure that ample spectating room is available without one having to cross too much private ground.
