Former World Rally champion Marcus Gronholm took time out from his busy PR schedule with Ford to visit the Fiesta Sporting Trophy International competitors in Finland this week ahead of the start of the event.
Gronholm, who will give a day's tuition to the winner of this year's FSTi championship, caught up with Burcu Çetinkaya to give her some valuable advice on an event he knows extremely well and won seven times.
Çetinkaya and co-driver Çiçek Güney will tackle the Rally Finland for the first time in their careers this weekend and they will be out to maintain their healthy lead in the championship.
In a separate development meanwhile, Norwegian electrical retailers Expert have offered a prize of a Samsung digital camera to the fastest Ford Fiesta ST home on the '1000 Lakes'.
"The scheme is offered to all competitors in the FSTi championship; for Finland Rally this will be called the 'Expert Award'. Each competitor who displays the logo adjacent to the rally door plate is entitled to a cash-back M-Sport voucher and is entered into the award scheme," confirmed a statement from the FSTi.
To help promote this new scheme, Expert-sponsored, Stobart Ford's Henning Solberg and his Ford Focus RS WRC07 paid a visit to the FSTi service area for a photo-shoot with all eight registered crews prior to the start of the ninth round in the WRC.
