The organisers of the Wales Rally GB have had to cancel SS1 - Hafren 1 - for safety reasons.
The test had already been reduced in length last night from 19.10 kilometres to 3.67 kilometres due to 'adverse weather conditions'.
"The decision was made after the FIA Safety Delegate drove through the section earlier this morning," explained a statement from the WRGB. "He decided there was still too much ice on the road for the stage to run safely.
"Organisers are still hoping that the ice will thaw and the stage will be able to run as SS4, starting at 13.16.
"Anybody who bought a ticket for Car Park A in Hafren is being offered free entrance to watch the second running of the Sweet Lamb stage this afternoon. That stage is due to start at 13.40."
WRGB 2008 will now begin with SS2 - Sweet Lamb 1, which is due to start at 9.32 hours local time.
More to follow then...
