SS1 - Oslo (2.00km): Petter Solberg begins his first event with his own team in the best way possible by setting the pace in the short opening super special; Hirvonen trails by 0.6 seconds; Loeb completes top three followed by Østberg and Latvala; Sordo sixth despite stalling at start; Andersson stopped in one hairpin; Novikov had slight off; Sandell sets early pace in P-WRC category; Arai picks up 5 minute penalty for engine change after shakedown; Petter leads overall.

It's just a 2km super special. Nothing to see here. We'll have to wait for the real stages to see how fast he can be with that Xsara. I think the snow is good for him as a first rally, the quality of the cars matters less than in tarmac or gravel rallies. It's good to see him again, I hope he will be able to show how fast he can be.

I think Petter feels like a massive weight has been lifted off his shoulders here, I think he is very excited and relaxed and if he is happy we all know what he could still do. It would be awesome to see him win, for him and the sport. Im sure he hasnt felt this good and up for fun in years !!!!
