Having scored points in both of his outings in the World Rally Championship so far this season, Munchi's Ford driver Federico Villagra will look to make it a hat-trick this weekend on his home event in Argentina.
The seven-time Argentine champion heads into the fifth round of the season – and the third of the year for the Ford team – looking to build on the seventh place finishes he took in both Cyprus and Portugal.
The focus now for Villagra will be to try and at least match his performance last year, where he took a personal best of sixth place despite suffering from an exhaust issue on the final day.
“This is the event in the calendar that I always look forward to,” Villagra admitted. “Competing all around the world is a fantastic experience but it's always a special feeling when I return to Argentina for my home WRC round.
“The fans here are incredible and I'm hoping to use that energy to push for my best result of the season in front of them. The stages are pretty similar to previous years and I have a good knowledge of the roads and the conditions we will encounter.
“The plan for day one is to push as hard as I can and then we will assess the situation and our position. But for sure I will be trying my best here, I really want to go have a good rally, bring home some more points and have a fantastic result for all the Argentine fans out there who will be cheering me on the stages.”
