The Motor Sports Association has congratulated BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team boss and M-Sport founder Malcolm Wilson after the 53-year-old was awarded an OBE in The Queen's Birthday Honours List.
MSA chief executive, Colin Hilton noted that there were 'few people more deserving' of the honour than Wilson.
He also added that it is fitting recognition for all he has achieved in British motorsport over the last three decades.
"Over the last 30 years, Malcolm has dedicated himself to the sport, becoming one of world rallying's most successful names," Hilton continued.
"Having enjoyed domestic and international success as a driver, he has since excelled as a team principal, claiming two manufacturers' world titles for Ford in 2006 and 2007.
"Malcolm has done a great deal to assist with the development of motor sport in this country and we were delighted last year when he agreed to become an Ambassador for the MSA's Go Motorsport campaign.
"He is hugely respected around the world and this award is fitting recognition of his experience and success."
