Rally Poland is going to be an event to remember, that's the prediction of Pirelli's rally manager, Mario Isola.

The event is the eighth in the championship and the final one prior to the four-week summer break. It will also present a number of new challenges as it is the first time the country has hosted a round of the World Rally Championship in 36 years.

Like in Argentina, Pirelli will supply the Scorpion 'soft' on this event, a tyre specifically developed by the Italian company to 'guarantee the highest performance and safety on the soft terrain and mud' likely to be encountered.

It has also been designed with 'run flat' technology solutions, which reduce the risk of a puncture.

"It looks like it's going to be a rally to remember," Isola confirmed. "In fact, it's a new challenge for us, for the drivers and the teams.

"The roads we'll be running on in the Rajd Polski WRC are quite sandy, so the surfaces will change as cars pass. One of the crucial points of the event, therefore, will be the starting order.

"Furthermore, as this is a new rally for all involved, it'll be very interesting to see who is the first and fastest to adapt to the new conditions, exploiting the grip the Scorpion Soft for the best results."
