Petter Solberg has said that a top-five finish is best he can probably hope for this weekend on the Neste Oil Rally Finland.

The Norwegian took his fifth points finish of the year last time out in Poland, when he brought his privately entered Citroen Xsara WRC home in fourth place.

Since then his team has been working to find a 'solution' to allow him to regularly challenge for rostrums, but unfortunately the updates won't come in time for the trip to the Jyv?skyl? for the ninth round in this year's World Rally Championship.

'Hollywood' has competed on the 1000 Lakes numerous times, his best result coming back in 2003 when he took the runners-up spot.

Last year he was sixth and he will be hoping to at least match that on this, his eleventh participation, although he knows his 2006 spec Xsara will again be down on power compared to the works cars, just like it was in Poland.

"We are working flat out to find a way to make the car faster for Finland, especially working on dampers and the height of the car," Solberg explained.

"We are also working hard to find a solution that will make us able to fight for podiums all the way. Unfortunately we didn't get it before Finland.

"Being realistic, I think a fourth or fifth place is the best result we can expect here, considering how fast some of the stages are. But anyway - Finland is an awesome rally and I can't wait until it starts."
