Fans cause delays in Sweden

Rally Sweden delayed due to bumper crowd on the tenth stage
The second day of Rally Sweden has been hit by delays caused by bumper crowds on the second stage of the morning.

Thousands of fans had headed for the 14.23km Sagen test to catch the action, but the sheer volume of fans led to a delay of some 45 minutes while organisers ensured that spectators were in safe positions.

Following the delay, Sebastien Loeb went quickest through the stage ahead of Marcus Gronholm and Mikko Hirvonen to cut Hirvonen's lead to 6.9 seconds.

Hirvonen had earlier set the pace during SS9 – the first test of the day – to extend his overnight lead to 10.8 seconds.
