PICS: Sneak peek at Citroen’s WRC future

Citroen shows off the new DS3 Racing, giving a glimpse of the car that will be used by the French manufacturer for the 2011 WRC season
Citroen is to reveal the new DS3 Racing during the Geneva Motor Show, giving fans a glimpse of the car that will be used by the French manufacturer for the 2011 WRC season.

Developed by Citroen Racing, the limited edition version of the DS3 will come with integrated carbon-trimmed components and specialist motorsports equipment, as well as a tuned and turbo-charged 1.6-litre THP 150 engine developing 200hp - a power increase of almost 30 per cent over the standard unit.

The car will also feature improved steering, suspension and brakes as well as a number of styling tweaks.

Just 1000 cars will enter production later this year.

Defending WRC champion Sebastien Loeb has already started testing of the DS3 ahead of its debut in the WRC next season.
