Having finished second in Mexico last time out, Petter Solberg will hope for further success as the WRC heads for Jordan and the third round of the year.
After a difficult start to the season in Sweden, Solberg bounced back in style at the wheel of his privateer Citroen C4 in Mexico, leading the event through the opening day and eventually finishing second to Sebastien Loeb.
Although he retired in Jordan two years ago, Solberg heads into the event in confident mood and predicted an exciting three days of action as he looks to build on the Mexican podium.
“Jordan will be extremely exciting,” he said. “Everything was perfect in Mexico and that second place felt so, so good. We will be using our second car for the first time in Jordan, together with a new and improved engine. I have already been in Jordan for a couple of days, relaxing and spending some time with my son, Oliver.”
The Jordan event will run from Thursday to Saturday – making it the first event this season to run away from the usual Friday-Sunday format.
