Freddy Loix will contest three more rounds of this year's Intercontinental Rally Challenge, it has been announced.
The winner of last month's Geko Ypres Rally will enter the events in Madeira, Zlin and Sanremo in a Skoda Fabia Super 2000 Facelift run by the Belgian Rene Georges Rally Sport operation.
"Every year I'm thinking to stop but every year I'm back and this year I will be quite busy,” Loix said. “I know Madeira is a bit more difficult for me than Ypres, which I know very well, because it is in the mountains but it will be good practice and more time in the car.
“I have also won once the Barum Rally and last year I was quite quick there until I broke a wheel. I know Sanremo too."
Loix has won four IRC rounds to date, including the Barum Czech Rally Zlin in August 2008. He was runner-up in the drivers' standings in 2008 and third the following season. His victory on the recent Ypres Rally marked his first appearance in the IRC this season.
