Just a week after its debut in the World Rally Championship in Sardinia, Dani Sordo is to give the new MINI John Cooper Works its maiden outing on British soil at the annual Rally Show this weekend.
The Spaniard, who finished sixth on his first outing in the car, will be in action on both daus of the event at Cornbury Park, giving British fans the chance to see the John Cooper Works WRC in action for the first time along the 1.1 mile stage.
“It will be great to be back in the MINI John Cooper Works WRC so soon after our debut in Italy,” he said. “I know that everyone in the UK wants to see the car in action and I aim to give the thousands of rally fans at Cornbury Park a great display.”
Jochen Goller, Director of MINI UK, added that the company was delighted to be taking the new car to the event.
“We are delighted to be able to demonstrate the MINI John Cooper Works WRC to MINI fans in the UK for the first time,” he said. “The Cornbury Park Show is a great location and so close to MINI Plant Oxford, where the launch of the WRC Team took place on 11 April.”
