IRC: New ticket deal for Scotland's IRC round

Andrew Coe: Paying on the gate represents a new approach for us but, having listened hard to the Scottish rallying community and the fans who flock to the event, we are confident this represents a simplified and much more effective ticketing strategy.

Fans planning to attend RACMSA Rally of Scotland, the penultimate round of this season's Intercontinental Rally Challenge, will be able to take advantage of a new ticket offer when the event runs for a third time from 7-9 October.

Rather than having to buy tickets in advance, fans will now be able to purchase single car park access passes at the entry to each of the stage car parks providing spectator access.

The pass can be reused for the second running of a stage, providing the same car park is accessed. The move is expected to lead to increased spectator attendance.

“Paying on the gate represents a new approach for us but, having listened hard to the Scottish rallying community and the fans who flock to the event, we are confident this represents a simplified and much more effective ticketing strategy for Rally of Scotland and better value for money,” explained Andrew Coe, chief executive of the event organiser International Motor Sport, this week.
