M-Sport Ford World Rally Team pair Ott Tanak and Evgeny Novikov will aim to impress this week when they make their debuts on the famous Monte Carlo Rally.
Estonian youngster Tanak will take part in all 13 events on the calendar for the team having impressed in the Super 2000 World Rally Championship last year; where he secured three victories.
Having also taken sixth place on the season-ending Wales Rally GB at the wheel of a Fiesta RS WRC, Tanak will now aim to impress again when the 2012 campaign gets underway.
“This is our first time here at Monte,” he said. “For sure it is a difficult rally so the most important thing for us will be to get the mileage and make it to the end. It's the first round of the season and we can fight harder in later events.
“We did a little testing on Friday and the car is feeling really good so we'll see how it goes. Anything can happen. From what I've seen, the roads here are really nice and if it stays dry we could be in a good position to push.”
Team-mate Novikov contest a number of events for the team last season but is also contesting the famous Monte Carlo Rally for the first time.
“This is my first time in Monte and we haven't had the chance to do any testing in the lead up to the event so I think this will be a very difficult rally for us,” he said. “Hopefully we can show some good pace and make it to the end but it's very difficult to predict. We'll go there and do our best.”
