Volkswagen Motorsport man Sebastien Ogier has crashed out of Rallye Monte Carlo in the final stage of day two.

Ogier had been enjoying a brilliant event in his Skoda Fabia S2000 and was fifth overall following the first loop this morning. Although he slipped back this afternoon and was overhauled by M-Sport Ford WRT man Evgeny Novikov in SS8, as conditions dried, he remained sixth. However, during the second run through the 21.66 km Lamastre-Gilhoc-Alboussiere test he suffered a sizeable off ending his event.

Ogier and co-driver, Julien Ingrassia both escaped unharmed from their SS10 accident, although Ingrassia was later taken to hospital for checks, after complaining about pain in his right arm.
